Wondering what we do on a trip like this? Here is a final version of our 2019 trip itinerary. We ended up going to 9 different countries, and visited so many cool locations.

In 2019 we rented a 9 passenger vans and did the whole thing as a road trip, driving on the Autobahn and the motorways of Europe. We saw so much. Most of our time was spent in France and Italy (quite a bit in Germany too). We saw WW1 and WW2 sites, the Vatican, the Pope, Venice, The Eiffel Tower….. ahhh too much to record. The pictures and videos capture much of it, but there was just so much.

In 2020 the trip should look similar. We’ll likely spend a week in Northern France and Germany, possibly Belgium and Luxembourg on the way. Then to the Chateau for 5-6 weeks, with outstrips to some great French locations. Then finish off with another 7-10 days of road tripping south towards Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia. None of this is confirmed yet, but that is the tentative plan. While on the road we stay in simple hotels, and budget around €20 a day for meals. That money is included in your fee.
